The day was 21st November 2009. The time was 1540 hrs. The flight was Air Asia AK364. The preparation was smooth. We had 3 luggage with us plus one extra hand luggage which we put inside our biggest luggage. Based on our experience, we always bought a lot of things while on holidays. So, kalau 3 luggage mana bisa muat. We had to be very calculative about the weight coz tau-tau je lah Air Asia. Lebih sekilo pun dia orang charge.We left house at 12.45pm and the ride to LCCT was smooth. In 45 minutes we arrived and quickly found a spot for lepak-lepak while waiting for check-in. I had my prayers and then felt weird as to why the check-in counters were still not opened. Luckily I went around and asked. Rupa-rupanya flights to Indonesia ada check-in counter khas. Kalau tak mungkin terlepas flight. Ye lah...... all this while selalu fly dengan Malaysia Airlines. Masa check-in tu berat beg kurang dari sepatutnya tapi bila tambah satu lagi terlebih 2 kilo pulak beratnya. So kenalah bayar RM30.00.
After check-in, we all pun masuk dalam departure lounge and of course I did not miss the opportunity to buy one carton of cigarettes. The lounge was packed but we managed to find seats near to our departure exit. All my kids were so excited, after all this would be their first trip overseas (I hope I didn't set the standard that in future they would only be looking forward to an oversea holiday). As expected, the flight was delayed and we only left KL at 4.00 pm.
My kids have flown in numerous occasions but this was their first in experiencing turbulence. It was quite bad and you could feel the aircraft vibrate. I could see especially my son yang tadi nampak girang tapi bila aircraft bergegar dia senyap. Baru thrill ye tak. Tu belum experience bila oxygen mask keluar like I did on my way to Kota Bahru last time.
Meals were pre-booked. We had nasi ayam combo, nasi goreng, hot dog and I have to be honest that the food on Air Asia taste far better than on Malaysia Airlines. None of us took a nap after meal although when on the ground I felt very sleepy. Maybe because of the turbulence, so gementar jugak. It was seriously bad.
After 3 hours we landed safely at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar. Denpasar is the capital of Bali.
